Halley received the highest honors for her senior thesis in Sociology and the2024 Howard W. Odum Undergraduate Sociology Chancellor’s Award. She was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. Beyond academics, she served her local communities through roles in UNC’s JudicialBranch of Student Government and as a Buckley Public Service Scholar.Halley is eager to continue her journey in public service. She takes pride in utilizing her advocacy, research, communication, and leadership skills to uplift individuals. Halley looks forward to bringing these skills to LFNC, particularly in her role with the Mid-East Commission, where she aims to make a meaningful impact across five Northeastern NC counties.
