During her time at UNC-Chapel Hill, Abigail served as the Vice President of Programming for the Carolina Union Activities Board, contributed to UNC’s Bioethics Club, and was involved with Out in STEM. Her research focuses on how narrative art influences disease patterns and art movements’ role in controlling disease spread. After Lead for North Carolina, Abigail plans to pursue a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in global health. Working with the City of Marion will deepen her understanding of health needs and socio-economic factors impacting McDowell County residents. LFNC will also broaden her knowledge of local governments and the public sector, enhancing her ability to navigate governmental and community contexts effectively.
