Nicholas Boyd served his fellowship in Lenoir County. He revised the County’s subdivision ordinance to adopt floodplain development standards. Boyd’s work contributed to significant financial relief for residents and reinforced the County’s commitment to disaster preparedness and cost savings. He also created a streamlined facilities management plan for Lenoir County.

Boyd graduated magna cum laude from Davidson College with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in Arab studies. His previous experience included working at Orient-Occident, a nonprofit serving migrants and refugees in Rabat, Morocco.
