Having spent half his life in North Carolina and the other half in Kansas, Elias has always aimed to return to this great state. At Davidson, he was the station manager of his student radio, co-president of the Middle Eastern and North African Students Association and the Debate Club, and was recognized for his activism work. During his tenure as a Fellow, Elias hopes to bring and share his ideas, passion, and deep care for the people of North Carolina. As a Palestinian-American, he is deeply connected to his heritage and values. Elias enjoys football (soccer), music, and values such as intersectionality, justice, and thoughtfulness, which shape his identity and aspirations.
