Carly Malcolm served her fellowship in Guilford County. She worked on the “Good Grief” podcast with the County’s register of deeds, which targeted members of the community to share important end-of-life issues and local resources. Malcolm also conducted American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) research for the deputy county manager that was used in presentations to the County Board of Commissioners.

Malcolm graduated from Clemson University with bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and international health and a minor in gender, sexuality, and women’s studies. While at Clemson, Malcolm worked as an interpersonal violence prevention intern, completed an honors thesis in the Political Science Department, and studied abroad in Argentina and South Africa. She also served as a member of student government and a leader in Clemson College Democrats.
