Camryn Locklear is a Lead for North Carolina Fellow with Robeson County. Camryn is a lifelong native of Robeson County and is excited for the opportunity to continue to serve her community. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a B.A in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration. In her role with the County, she has served as the wellness director and advises employees on how to stay within policy requirements and creating wellness events for employees. Camryn’s love for local government comes from her summer internship at a neighboring county’s chamber of commerce.

Where she calls home: Wherever I feel I am cared about and wherever there is a sense of community. Something she takes pride in: I feel proud that I was raised in a single-parent household. And that I found a way to fund my college career and graduate a year early. A few pieces that feel core to her identity: My tribe, my community, my family.

Recent Work Accomplishments:
Camryn created an employee wellness program the County's 1,000+ employees. She is responsible for planning and hosting employee health events and launching initiatives to foster healthy behaviors in county employees. Camryn has also been working on tracking insurance claims with the assistant county manager.
