Anna Kate Baechtold is the Lead for North Carolina Fellow for the Land of Sky Regional Council. A double Tar Heel, she earned both her Master of Public Policy and her B.A. in Public Policy and Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During graduate school, Anna Kate focused on environmental policy and public health. Her capstone project with the Center for Science in the Public Interest explored the effectiveness of federally funded free summer meal programs for children. During undergrad, she completed a capstone with the Southern Environmental Law Center focused on environmental justice and interned in UK Parliament. While at UNC, Anna Kate also enjoyed leading ropes course programs and teaching rock climbing with Carolina Adventures and giving tours at the Ackland Art Museum.
