Andrew Resnick served his fellowship with the Mid-Carolina Council of Governments, working with governments in Cumberland, Harnett, and Sampson Counties. He secured a $600,000 grant for vulnerable populations within the region and led efforts to recreate a comprehensive land use plan in Salemburg. Resnick also redesigned the Council’s website and newsletter. He created a safety committee, designed a new grant database, and adopted a policy template book for under-resourced governments.

Resnick graduated magna cum laude from Elon University. His previous local and state government experience included working in the district office for a U.S. senator, interning for county commissioners, and helping a candidate run their campaign for local office.
