Biography

Stephen Wright served his fellowship in Ashe County, where he updated and re-wrote the County’s comprehensive land use plan. His work provided the first update to the plan in more than 23 years and provided an updated picture of the County’s growth and development. Wright’s work also advanced the County’s research and communications capabilities.

Before LFNC

Wright graduated with honors from Unc-Chapel Hill. At Carolina, he served in multiple roles within Undergraduate Student Government, serving as speaker of the Undergraduate Senate and as undergraduate treasurer. While serving in the student government, Wright worked to advocate for student needs around fees, mental healthcare, and social justice. He is a member of the Phi Alpha Theta honor society and received the John Johnston Parker, Jr., Medal for Unique Leadership in Student Government.
