Liam Brailey was a fellow in Anson County, where he served as a special assistant to the county manager. In that role, he worked on land use planning, emergency radio systems, budgeting, and grant applications. He served as project lead on the purchase of emergency radios to eliminate dead spots for first-responder communication. Brailey also assisted with a draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for a multi-million-dollar Department of Social Services building and launched a book club for senior leadership in the county. In total, Brailey’s contributions helped secure $1.5 million in funding for the county and $2.2 million in cost savings.

Brailey graduated summa cum laude from Elon University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and policy studies and minors in history and classics. While at Elon, he was recognized as “Best Student in Policy Studies” for 2019 and inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa honor societies. Brailey previously worked as an intern for the Town of Vienna’s Planning Department in his home state of Virginia.
