Ally Fouts is the LFNC Fellow for Harnett County. Ally graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. While environmental science brought her to UNC Asheville, Ally learned more about local government's great opportunities for positive change through her coursework and her independent undergraduate research, through which she explored how residents of Asheville perceive and value the city's urban tree canopy.

On your hopes for your community: I am excited to assist Harnett County with the implementation of our ARPA plan, as this funding may play a historic part in supporting the county's growth. I am especially inspired by the Harnett County Government's initiative to include the voices of the people while creating this plan, as effective and sustainable action is rooted in the community's needs. Coming from a liberal arts and interdisciplinary background, I recognize the value of seeing issues as interconnected and interdependent on one another. I am excited to apply my interdisciplinary lens to ensuring that I am supporting the community's many needs.1
