Elijah’s internship experience underscored the critical role of federal funding in supporting local government initiatives, particularly during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. He is passionate about ensuring local governments have the resources they need to effectively serve their communities. Elijah views the Lead for North Carolina fellowship as an opportunity to further develop his professional skills, expand his network and advance his career in public service, with a focus on making meaningful contributions to local communities.
